Apple TV

This unit seems designed to sell Apple's iTunes content for consumption on your HDTV. I don't tend to buy much of this content. However, thanks to Airplay, the new generation of Apple TV is much more than that. I use it to stream music from my Macbook to the stereo. I also use it to stream videos, games, and music from my iPhone 4S and iPad 2. These two devices enable an Airplay function called "mirroring" which let you display your phone or tablet screen onto your TV.
